October 26, 2014Information strategy is an organization’s common blueprint for retrieving, integrating, processing, distributing and presenting information that is relevant and secure for users.
All information in an organization should meet a certain standard for quality. It should be delivered consistently across the organization, i.e., asking for the same information in different divisions should yield the same result, and users and applications shouldn’t have to wait long to get their By requested information.
Any organization wishing to manage their information efficiently must start by asking themselves two fundamental information strategy questions:
1. What information should be published and by whom?
2. Who are the target readers of the information?
